Equine Family & Friends

Over the past decade and more - because we bred for a few years and were involved in the wild horse rescue charity for ten years - we have come to know a lot of horses. We have also come to know some wonderful humans, and made a lot of friends.

The collage below comprises just a few of the many (many!) horses we have known during our time here. Please note some of these photos are mine, some have been sent to us. Do not copy.

All of the horses pictured spent time here at Wadi Farm (except Giselle!), either born and growing, learning, agisted, or rescued and being rehabilitated from drought and starvation before leaving for new homes. This has always been our passion. We have had a great deal of support and help along the way, for which we will always be grateful. It continues to be a blessed journey!

We would like to personally acknowledge and thank the following people. These folks have, over the years, volunteered their time, friendship, love, expertise, support and wisdom, sometimes at crucial turning points in our journey, and we will always be grateful to each and every one of them...and forgive me if I have left anybody off the list, for there have been so many...

Dr Sheila Greenwell, Dr Simone Herbert, Dr Rupert Mothersole, Dr Tracey Simpson, Neil Innes, Norma & Rex Ward, Ross Quartermaine, Jim Quadrio, Rob Forster, Ros Love, Ian Hutchins, Elizabeth Denniss, Pete & Pam Brophy, Paul Treloar, Fran Jackson, Ian Lockyer, Jill Pickering, Nicole & Julie-Anne, Terri & John Sanders, Debra Ryan, Ian Porter, Helen Louis, Robin & Jenny Mellema, Pip from Bridgetown Pottery, Elizabeth Jennings, the Harrod family, my mum Anne Smith, Kevin's mum Leonie Waddington, the staff at Nannup Hospital and at Mirrambeena, in Margaret River...Fred & Rachel Watkins, the Committee members of the OHHAWA Inc. over the years, Hoofbeats magazine, The Horse Down Under magazine...and the professional shooters, station owners and staff out there in the remote areas of WA, who continue to keep a weather eye on the wild ones. You know who you are.

If you own any rescued horses that started out here, or any Wadi Farm progeny, please feel free to email with a photo if you'd like to see your horse/s included in our WF Memories album. Oh and a big THANK YOU to those who have purchased, cared for and loved these horses over the years. You are all awesome human beings.
